Anyone looking to add exquisiteness to their patio can install the shade sail. The Bunnings shade sails and DIY provides many benefits. They are a colourful way of adding shade to the open areas and must be chosen precisely.

A shade sail can be selected based on the coverage it provides. You can choose the one that provides maximum coverage with the available anchor points. Setting attachment points at varied heights ensure effectiveness. If more attachment points are required then installation of the steel anchor poles could be considered.

All the posts must be embedded within the concrete footing. The need is to measure out the centres of footing positions. There is a need to dig the holes to the required size for the height of the post. For instance, for a 3M size shade sail the holes of 400m square and 800mm deep. 5M or larger shade sails require footing holes of 400mm square and 1200mm deep.

If the shade post is installed into the soft ground then initially a 100mm depth of concrete has to be poured. One must add a 100mm depth gravel bed. One must position the post and further add the necessary amount of concrete. There is a need for positioning the post at a 5-degree angle while sloping away from the centre of the shade sails position.
